| New environment policy In 1991 we adopted our first environment policy, and this is our fourth. The environment and climate debate have seen dramatic developments and our environment policy must reflect today's global challenges. Therefore, in 2008 we have adopted a completely new environment policy, based on our common challenges:
Plastic crops up in countless contexts in everyday life and provides solutions of great value for the individual and for society. A life without plastic is hard to imagine in a modern society. Just think of computers, cars, and packaging for food, medical devices and equipment, toys etc. Because plastic is so widespread, it is also our responsibility that our products do not pose a risk for people and the environment. Plastic in itself has unique properties which make the material an environmentally correct choice:
